Tollesbury Marina / Woodrolfe Boatyard is far more than just a place to keep a boat, it has been designed as a boating centre for all the family, with a range of on-site activities to cater for every need, including; pontoon berthing, brokerage, chandlery, workshops, slipways and club with heated covered swimming pool, two tennis courts, a cosy bar and an inviting restaurant with excellent home cooking.
Situated in the heart of the Essex countryside at the mouth of the river Blackwater, Tollesbury Marina is convenient for London and the Home Counties to the South, being only 45 minutes from Junction 28 (M25), and Cambridge and Suffolk to the North.
The nearby village of Tollesbury, only a short walk from the marina, has a general store, bakery, butcher, post office and two public houses.
Over 240 boats can be accommodated on the pontoon berths in the marina which provides a safe haven in all weathers. Each boat owner has access to water and electricity on the berth with essentials such as diesel and gas being available when required.
The marina is ideally located for exploring the rivers and creeks of the East Coast with the rivers Crouch and Thames to the South, West Mersea and rivers Colne, Orwell and Deben to the North. For those wishing to cruise further afield the marina offers the perfect gateway to the cruising grounds of Holland, Belgium and France.
Tollesbury Marina is a tidal harbour with access for about 2 hours either side of high water depending on tide, weather conditions and draft of your boat. Boat owners can take advantage of a free towing service to and from our deep water moorings in Tollesbury Fleet, some of which give unlimited sailing when required.
Woodrolfe Brokerage, on site, list over 100 boats for sale and are agents for the Etap range of new yachts.
We have full lifting facilities for boats up to 30 Tons and can store vessels ashore near electricity and water at any time of the year. Our repair centre, with engineering facilities on site, has an excellent reputation for modern and traditional repairs, re-sprays and Osmosis treatments. Rigging services and sail makers are nearby.
