Major players use Phuket Boatshow for regional launch
As the organizers get ready to open the gates to the third Phuket Boatshow on Thursday 8 December, advance visitor registrations and the industry ‘buzz’ have reached levels that indicate the show has matured as the premier regional boating and lifestyle show.
Global exhibitor registrations for the 37th staging of the International Boat Show promise excellent occupancy rates for halls in all product categories. Next January, boot will be spread across 17 halls at the Düsseldorf Trade Fair Center, covering a gross exhibition area of 220,000 square metres. More than 1,650 exhibitors from over 50 countries will present the full spectrum of global offerings for all aspects of boats, yachts, maritime equipment and services.

Construction of Fleming pilothouse motoryachts began at the Tung Hwa yard in southern Taiwan in 1985 under the personal supervision of Tony Fleming. All Fleming yachts are built in the Tung Hwa yard and all the boats are marketed exclusively through Fleming Yachts, Inc., a California corporation with its office in Newport Beach, California. Fleming Yachts do not sell direct to retail customers but market their boats solely through their authorised dealerships who are better equipped to provide service to Fleming customers in their area. The Tung Hwa yard currently builds yachts exclusively for Fleming. Production rate for the Fleming 55 is being increased to one boat every three weeks (15 boats per year).
With an extensive background in yacht building, John Robertson and Jerry Caine started working together as partners in 1985. Over the next five years, they were responsible for the construction of more than 400 vessels, mainly production boats on an assembly line basis.

The HISWA Amsterdam Boat Show 2005 will be a source of inspiration for exhibitors and visitors alike and cover the history and future of water sports. The Sydney International Boat Show is held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour. Marinas mushroom amid skyrocketing luxury boat sales
The Middle Easts luxury pleasure boat sector continues to expand dramatically it now accounts for almost a fifth of global super-yacht sales. Surging luxury boat sales have, in turn, generated massive demand for mooring facilities. Regional seafront developers have responded by building one luxury marina after another. Across the Middle East and Gulf, from Lebanon to Kuwait and Dubai, Egypt to Bahrain to Qatar and Saudi Arabia, marinas are being constructed and planned, or have already been completed. Meanwhile, the infectious regional passion for boating and water sports, fuelling the marina construction flurry, shows no sign of slowing.

Finlands largest boating industry event in terms of physical size and number of visitors, the Helsinki International Boat Show 2005, takes place once again in mid-February. On display will be a comprehensive range of motorboats, yachts, wooden boats, canoes, and boating, electronic, fishing, diving, and other water sports equipment. All the major boat manufacturers and importers will be there, as will other key companies, organisations and official bodies associated with the industry.
