Hello to you all

I'm keen to acquire my first Freeman 22 and in particular it needs to be the narrow beam model for use on the canal system.

If you are selling your boat, or thinking of selling your boat, I'd love to hear from you.

Kind regards

Steve

Hi Steve, I have a 1972 Freeman Mk 2 narrow beam in very nice condition. It has been converted to diesel and is ideal for canal cruising. I have put narrow boat fenders on her so she'll easily slide in to narrow locks or through one gate of a wide lock. She is currently laid up for the winter with all soft furnishings stripped off and the engine winterised. She is afloat at Newbury on the Kennet and Avon Canal. The engine would need its annual servicing before being used again next season. There are a few minor jobs that need doing before re commissioning next season as I hadn't intended to sell her until the end of next season. She has a Boat Safety Certificate valid until 2014 and a new BW license. She hasn't been serviced but I saw her out of the water a year ago and there was no osmosis. She's due to come out again in the spring for anti fouling. You probabaly know that this model is pretty rare as they were only made for 2 years so they're pretty sought after. I had intended to put her on the market for about £7,500 but I'm very willing to negotiate if she's what you are looking for. The only reason I'm selling is that we want something a bit bigger to do some lengthy trips so I'm probabaly going for a narrow boat.

Regards, Geoff Newman
