Vibrating engine or prop

I have a Catalina 320 sailing yacht with a Yanmar 3GM30F engine and 3 bladed prop.
I recently picked up a large lump of fishing net in the English Channel. This wound round the prop and stopped the engine almost immediately.
We sailed to the coast, and got a tow in to a marina for lift out.
The netting was cut away and the boat relaunched.
The engine started and it all seemed ok. However, there are now some discernable problems.
If I run the engine at fairly high speed for while, then set the throttle back to tick over, the engine shakes and vibrates wildly. A small increase in throttle speed and it settles down. It did'nt do this before. There also is more general vibration from the engine and/or prop than before.
Any ideas on what could be the problem would be welcome.
Also, recommendations for a good marine engineer in the River Hamble or Southampton area who can sort it out would be appreciated.
Thanks
Mr A

I'm not a boat mechanic but is sounds like a universal joint / Constant velocity joint has taken some strain.

I hope this is of use to you.
