Hi everyone!
I'm interested in a 1972 contest 33 sailing boat.. in general, what do you think about this model of ship? are they reliable? what do you think would be a reasonable price for such a ship at this age?

thank you for your time and help!

I have a 1973 model and I love it. I have the keel with a big encapsulated bulb keel but I have heard that there was a later or earlier keel design which was different. The boats are very tough. They are not fast and were bult to the old IOR rating and I think they were rated at 22ft.

Some confusion about the displacement with some quoting 4.5 tons however I see from the original brochure Contest quoted 5.25 tons.
