I JUST INSTALLED A NEW 240 HP YANMAR ENGINE IN MY BOAT.
THE CONTINUOUS RATING IS 3100 RPM.
CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME IF THAT MEANS THAT I CAN OPERATE THE ENGINE CONTINUOUSLY AT THAT RPM.?
THE AVERAGE USE IS A 6 HR TRIP TWICE A WEEK
TX.
RONALD

Hi Ronald,

Continuous load for a transformer is the load that it can handle indefinitely without exceeding the specified temperature range.

So this would suggest that 3100 RPM is quite possibly the max RPM your engine can sustain continuously.
