I've just purchased a Suzuki 2.5 hp four stroke outboard. I took it out for the first time yesterday and was massively disappointed in the raucous noise and vibration that not only rattled its way through the boat but also my wrist hanging on to the tiller. It kept misfiring at around 50% throttle when I blipped it there as per the running in instructions. My conclusion is either I've bought a real dog of an outboard (brand new) or there is something wrong with it. I hop it is the latter!! Peter Worgan 07711 058872

Hi, I have a Suzuki 40 HP which I bought new about 1985. I used it for 15 hours on Loch Lomond and we moved south. It has not had it's first service and I need advice on what needs to be done as it has not been started since.
