less power with my yamaha 20 pk

HI,

I have an old 20 pk yamaha with a problem. For some reason the engine has less power then it used to have. Yesterday I put the engine in reverse and opend the trottle all the way up. Eventually for some reason the engine worked properly again. It had all its power back en worked just fine. But when I stopped the engine for like 5 minutes the engine had less power and wasn't working as it should do. How is this possible? Perhaps adjust the settings of the caberator? or something else
