IONA Yacht

Does anyone know anything about this boat maker? I have a 23' IONA built aroung 1976 and wanted to get some specs on it. Can't find anything about it

We also have an Iona 23. Unfortunately we have limited info about the origins of the boat. We know the manufacturer and the rig company. Please contact me for more info.

I have owned an Iona 23 for 30+years.

I believe it was built by Banham of Cambridge in 1974. The hull is the same as the Magnifik Midget yacht in Sweden (many built) but with a different superstructure added here in the UK.

The Iona and Arran 18 were later built by Ulstercraft International in N Ireland.

We also have an Iona 23. It would be nice to have some info about the center of gravity and keel weight. I have fully restored our boat and shall need to check or ajust the weight distribution. Some original drawings would be very usefull. Thanks.

I have Sail number 19. When we bought the shell from the supplier in Cambridge the company was called Anglia Yachts.
I fitter her out with a Yanmar YSE8 diesel.
If anyone wants any further info I'm in Cornwall. My email address is richardandchris@cockshill.freeserve.co.uk.
I did see another moored off st Ives a few years ago.
