10 foot Avon inflatable (1979)

Just purchased an old 10 foot Avon inflatable dinghy. I'm new to this, although my friend has a 10 foot Pheonix inflatabe and Johnson Sea Horse 7.5 hp outboard in which we go fishing.
The dinghy condition is as expected for 1979 with a few patches. We've had her out in the sea the other night and rowed a good few hundred yards.
I'm lookinmg for any help/info on the subject of the old Avon inflatabeles - anything at all - maintenance, suitable outboards, history etc. I'm also looking for an old motor mount with the hope of using a small outboard (maybe 1 to 1.5hp).
There is a serial number, which ends in M79E (1979 I presume). Can anybody please help me out here? I'm finding it extremely difficult to get the info online.
