Suzuki DF300 Leanburn Outboard Engine

Hi
Does anyone else run one of the new Suzuki outboard engines ?
I have a DF300 learnburn on a 8.4m Redbay rib that we use for day charters in the Solent. We have tried 6 props now and got her up to 40knts but the best fuel economy is about 1.5 ltrs per mile. We have gone from a 4 blade prop to a relatively small 19" pitched 3 blade prop. Any recommendations ?
