Hi folks,

Just joined the forum - good to be here. I was wondering if anyone had some time to advise me....

I'm looking to buy a new boat. It needs to be able to be comfortably sailed by 2 adults (me and my girlfriend), but also sailed single-handedly.

Boat will be sailed in salt and fresh water. We'd love to have the option to trapeze as well. I've done plenty of sailing over the years (topper, laser, GP14, Okay, Hobie 15, Dart 18), but my girlfriend's a beginner - don't know if that makes a difference.

Some boats I've been considering....

Laser Vago - ticks all the boxes but very heavy with hull weight of over 105kg
RS700 / 600 - looks good but single hander / any good with 2 on board?
RS800 - can it be sailed single handedly
RS400/500 - same...are they any good as single handers
Laser 2

I don't have time to test sail all these so any advice would be really terrific.

Would prefer not to spend more than £5000.

Thanks for any help offered
