Coosing a Drysuit
Not sure if this is the right forum but I want something warmer to race in.
A drysuit with an inner fleece could be the way to go but there is a lot of choice out there.
These are the questions I am trying to answer:- 1) Firstly do I go for slightly big or slightly small? 2) Neoprene or latex neck/wrist seals 3) Latex or fabric feet 4) Which make. I have so far come across Crewsaver, Gill, Henri Lloyd, Typhoon 5) Is there any retailer that carry a wide range of in Devon area stock or any stock. They are all prepared to order for you. 6)Most of the racers in our club use wet suits. Does this mean that all serious racers wear wetsuits? 7) I have come across a company called Ravenspring which do made to measure suits and also a two part dry suit called a duo drysuit which can be worn together or separately Has anyone any experience of this two piece? Is the cummerbund uncomfortable 8) I like the idea of a suit made to measure as my dimension put me in the medium size for some measurements and the large size for others. Do I go for a suit thats slightly short or go for a suit for someone with a larger girth? 9) It might be completely the wrong approach but Kayak users use a wet suit that appears better fitting around the waist but is designed for their Kayaks spray top. Some are obviously unsuitable but a couple might work very well. They also use trainers designed to be immersed. Has anyone gone this route?
Many thanks for your help in anticipation
