Catamaran boats
Could we have a chat about catamaran boats as we are thinking of moving from a mono hull boat to a catamaran?

Are catamarans safe?
What is the best catamaran? (Up to 55'/60)
Catamaran Manufactures?
Best place to buy a catamaran - UK or abroad?
Charter a catamaran - who is the best to do this through?
Catamaran - life whats really like owning one?

Please respond...

Re: Catamaran boats
The answers may not be a simple as you had hoped

Are catamarans safe?
As safe as any other yacht.

What is the best catamaran? (Up to 55'/60)
It depends on what your requirements are. A 55 foot catamaran will be huge. Do you really need a boat this big?

Catamaran Manufactures?
As above

Best place to buy a catamaran - UK or abroad?
As above

Charter a catamaran - who is the best to do this through?
Chartering a catamaran would be a good way to find out if they fit your needs. Which company you use, will depend on where you want to take a holidayl?

Catamaran - life whats really like owning one?
Below decks they are more spacious and stable that a monohull, however mooring costs, because of the increased beam, will be far greater.
Insurance costs too will generally be greater than a monohull of a similar length.
