Whilst I'm new to sailing I have two young sons he have taken to sailing and one who is starting to enter club races. We considered getting a GP14 but have been advised by a fellow dinghy owner to consider a Topper Sport 14. As it will be easier for the kids to handle and can develop further than a GP when going from a family sailing boat into club races i.e can have trapeze etc.

Sport 14s seem thin on the ground but I have come across what seem to me similar toppers in the form of Cruz, Cruz Sport, and Magno's the Mango can also be set up and a single hander. I really am lost as to the subtle differences between the boats and their evolution - any help to through light on this or any other suggestion on suitable boats is much appreciated, will will from time to time take 3 of us out together
