Hi All , i was thinking of buying a small sports boat ie- 15 / 17 ft fletcher but cant make up my mind about the engine , would a outboard of say 75 / 90 hp be any dearer to run than a mercruiser 3.0 inboard .

we have a 3.8 mtr rib with a 15 hp and this uses next to nothing .

thanks for any comments .

i would always go for an imboard if your using for sports and your quite confident you wont let the prop hit anything.

out boards are great because you can upgrade so easy. but they are more noisy and can get in the way of skiing view
