Oil sludge.

I have a 1976 Johnson 85hp, and I was in a fishing contest this weekend and the motor was at idle for 11hrs. When I pulled it out of the water I have this oil sludge coming from the water ports. I checked the lower unit oil, and it was fine... is this normal for letting it idle for this amount of time? or is their something messed up? (I also checked the plugs to see if it got hot and their were fine) the motor runs great, doesn't miss or anything... any sugestions?

might have a crack in the head or a head gasket but sounds more like a crack.

i would get a marine engineer to just give a check.

also turn the fucking engine off.
