evinrude 35 hp starter wiring
Hi I'm new to the board and was looking for some help on my evinrude, Its a 1975 or 1976 35 hp, I bought used and it didn't have an electric starter, I found one used and picked it up. Now this is where you all come in I am trying to figure out how to wire it, This is my thoughts on how I think it goes. I take the (+)battery cable and hook it up to one side of the solenoid the other side of the solenoid goes to the starter, My start button goes to one of the small screws on the solenoid. but was is the other one is it a ground or ?, And where do I wire the ground cable to the bracket that holds the starter? Thanks

Re: evinrude 35 hp starter wiring
i am working on my 82 and have discovered your answer if you havnt found it yourself. starter to left of solenoid. on the right of the solenoid is the battery + and the red igntion wire, only one that will reach coming from ignition harness. grounds hook below the block to the right of the solenoid. should be 3 and the battery ground.
