I have an old mercury 500 outboard. It only pumps water at high revs, i have been told that the pipes in the engine have corroded due to it not being flushed. Also that they could be cleaned but it would not be economical to do so. i have the time to do this, but not the money to buy a new outboard, does anybody think it is worth it? and if so does anybody know where i can get a workshop manual from?
