Choosing outboard power

Hi there

We have a small fibreglass rowing boat that we want to fit an outboard motor to. It has previously had one attached, so must be suitable for one, but unsure about what power is safe for this particular boat? It is 7ft long and 4ft wide at the widest point. What power limit would be a good idea for a boat of this size?

Thanks,
Picky

I would go for an outboard around the 2HP range if using for a tender or fishing on inland waterways
