Advice on sea fishing boat

Well, here's my tale of woe. My brother in law and I bought a 20 foot boat made by Hiptimco, which was ideal for us to go fishing in the solent. However, in a force four she bobbed about like a cork (whilst all the other boats looked fine) and the journey from Southampton to Portsmouth was quite fraught. We realised that the sea fishing boat didn't have a seagoing hull (should have done a bit of research I guess). It will make a great boat for pootling around the harbour etc but not for open sea fishing.

Can anyone advise what sort of boat is good for four people to comfortably fish in in reasonable weather?
