VAT Return

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a return on VAT paid on a boat in Europe if it is going to be exported to another country outside of the EU? I will have to pay VAT again when I import it to the country I live so wanted to try and save some.

where are you leaving from, where are you returning to and how long will boat be outside EU?
