transfering ownership of a boat

i purchased a boat with my boyfriend and we just broke up. now he is responsiable to make the loan payments while i am only the deed or title. i want him to buy me out of my portion since i want nothing to do with the boat but my question is how do i transfer full ownership over to him? where do i begin and who should i contact or who should i pay to handle this matter? please help...
