sailing from south of France to Greece

Hello ,
we intend to sail from Toulon , France , to Greece , on May 2008,we will be stopping , in a few places in Italy , Sicily ,Sardenia.this is the first time for us sailing this erea,
i would be happy to hear some tips from someone who had done that .
also i would like to learn more abou t the whether overthere in summer time- if anyone have any sugestions.
