I'm looking to buy a bilge keel yacht - 26 - 28 feet for use on the South Coast of the UK.

Can anyone suggest their favoraite type and why?

depends on how much you want to spend on a Bilge Keel Yacht... up to 30,000 you could get a great Westerly - they seem to be great starter boats for people on a budget and they are very well built boats too.
