Young highly ambitious sales person needing advice, please!!!

Hi,

I'm 23 years old, currently living in East Anglia, England. I have been in sales for 4 1/2 years now and worked in 4 different markets, whilst maintaining a track record as a consistent top seller. I am highly ambitious and motivated.

After a recent trip to Monaco, I have become obsessed with the idea of selling top class power yachts. Unfortunately I have zero experience in the marine industry! I do pick things up quite quickly though.

I'm interested to know as much about becoming a top end yacht salesman as possible i.e. what are the best routes to take to get there, what sort of money it is possible to make and everything else in between.

Any information.......or job offers (worth a try!) would be very much appreciated!!

Dominic

I was in the charter market in the mid 80s, Gibaltar marina bay, my advice is this, change your thinking of what you can get out of it, for this market you need to know the right people, you have to start by getting down to porto banus or monoco, get yourself known, be cheeky but not rude, and work on the boats you have to know the product. work upwards understand the mechanical side improve your sales pitch. But if I were you learn engineering, that is the skill the world is full of someone selling you something, thats is why Britain is falling apart. Skills is what you need hands on.
