yamaha wiring

hi every one am new here an i have a couple of problems i have just bought a yamaha 15de 1992 an i am rigging it back upto the remote an steering that it came with because the guy that owned it before me just used the tiller arm i think it was the owner before him that used the steering anyway on the 703 yamaha remote box there is the main wire cables that go to the engine but there are also 6 wires capped off coming out of it (3 yellow 2 black 1 pink an 1 green ).could any one tell me what these wires are for.


there are also 4 wires on the main harness 2 coming from the ignition unit 1 brown an 1 red an there are 2 beside the carb an they are both brown i was wanting to know wether or not these were to do with a starter motor because i am putting one on . i have several manuals but i just cant get my head around the wiring diagrams an i dont wont to do any damage to the engine or a new starter when i put it on.
