How can I locate the water line on a boat thats out of the water

If you can't see an old water line than you can usually use the boats boot stripe as a good indicator. Typically the water line rest about half way up the boot stripe, but this is only an average and should be verified before making any assumptions. The only way to do that is to put the boat in the water.
