Restoring interior paint

I'm in the process of restoring the interior of my Banjer. The teak veneer has already been painted, so I have removed the teak trim, and removed all the dirt, mould and loose bits of paint. Could someone give me some advice on what paint to use to repaint the interior.

Would it be OK to use a water based exterior enamel paint from a DIY store? Is this likely to leave brush marks? And is it likely to need repainting again in a few years time?

Or should I go for the more expensive 1 part top coat enamel marine paint?

Thanks!

It's not worth trying to save money on paint - it's a false economy. Do the job right and get the boat paint.

The good marine one part paints are very self leveling, brush marks should just disappear. Make sure you watch out for runs on vertical surfaces though.

Try using a mini paint roller to avoid brush marks
