My boat...the antifould paint comes up a couple inches up the gunnnel but as you progress tothe bow this "margin" gets smaller and smaller....then there is an inch of the raw gel coat then a 2 inch tape boot stripe...... the tape is getting really old and falling off...... I am tempted to pull the tape off and pressure wash all the old ablative paint off the hull bottom..... the problems seems ot be that when applying the new coat of paint in the spring...how d o I get the nice uniform margin that goes up the gunnel in all past years I painted right up over the old paint so that was my reference if all paint is not gone how in the world do I paint that margin that is wider at the stern end and gradually shrinks as you get to the bow...this is a 83 SRV225 Express Cruiser my next set of questions has to do with all the decorative tape that is noe deteriorated..... I think if I pull it off the gel coat unde it looks like new and then what Do I do the desing is very "abstract" is appling new tape a job for a real artist or what ?
