mending a crack in clar plastic main hatch

A crack has appeared down the middle of my see through plastic main hatch - fortunately only 1/2 way down but it is noticeibly weaker and is quite noticeable.

any one have any ideas how to mend it so it is stronger without ruining the esthetics too much?

will epoxy in the crack do the job??
