johnson 15 hp outboard

i have a 15 hp johnson outboard with ohm controls, the problem i have is when i start she runs pefect for about 1 hour 40 mins, then cuts out it then will restart after about 30 mins with no problems then runs maybe 10 mins maximum before stopping again ,it has just had a service the last few days, with new spark plugs fitted any ideas what the problem could be

Hi.
i have johnson15 fourstroke, and i have same problem, it start good but i running maybe 40min it stopped. then i wait 5min and it start again, running again 30min and then stop.......

i have since been told that it is 99% certain that the problem with my outboard is the powerpack

It sounds Like an electrical problem. have you check your alarms sensors?

i have chanced powerpack but problem stay.......i know it is electrical problem but where it is ?????

you may check the sensors, it may be the temperature sensor.
make shure the engine is cooling properly ,feeling the water temp ,
it my be capacitor which sends sparks to spark plugs that gets humid and fails..

get your self a can of b-12 chem tool you are most likely running bad gas mix it with b-12 and it will be fine

It sounds like it's overheating sort out before you do any damage I had the same symtoms and pump impellor &blocked water channels were the problem
