I am cosidering the purchase of a small sailing yacht that has been neglected and kept on a berth for aprox 18 months in the UK. The anti foul has worn off completely and there is thick coating of Barnacles and seaweed - Do either of these dig into the gelcoat and damage the integrety of the hull as they take root?
Where can I find factual information regarding potential barnacle /weed damage?
