Aluminium polish

Does anyone know of a good, easy to use aluminum polish that takes off the oxidation and leaves a nice shine.

The H20 removers are way to acidic, they take the metal down to the bone. Although they clean it, the finish looks etched and dull?

Hello,

Use briliant aluminium & stainless steel polish, suppliers to many clubs, museums and international associations, including the RNLI at Chatham, used to clean polish and protect brass & aluminium on the lifeboats in the historic dockyard at Chatham.

Any polish on aluminium will change the surface texture, so you need to do the whole lot, especially if anodised.

For a speicalised aluminium polish, try http://www.morethanpolish.com/raceglaze_products.asp?web=Glass%20and%20Metalwork...

Colonite's Metal Wax is what we use for aluminum and any other metal or chrome surface. The Metal Wax removes rust and oxidation and leaves a protective wax over top of the metal surface. A lot of the other metal oxidation removing polishes do not do this. Make sure that no matter what you use, it puts a protective coating over the aluminum, or you will need to wax it yourself, otherwise it will just rust again, and more quickly this time since it has no protection.

A Glaze stainless steel polish and restorer takes away the oxidisation and then the metal can be sealed for up to a year with no need to wax.

Does anyone know if these used to be some kind of war posters or
something? http://www.liangdianup.com/index.htm
Were these sayings on these lighters actually used in war times?
