About this Elan Yachts Impression 384

English

For sale is this 2010 Elan Impression 384 – ‘Ammonite’.

This boat has been a liveaboard cruiser, and as such is kitted out to a very high standard, including a Raymarine Axiom 9 chart plotter, Raymarine AIS, solar arch with Victron charge controller, fitted passarelle, and Rocna anchor. The boat has been very well looked after, with regular engine services and recent antifouling.

Sails and lines

The boat comes with a furling genoa and in-mast furling mainsail. The genoa sheets, outhaul and mainsail furling line were all new in 2023. There are four harken winches in the cockpit, which have been regularly serviced, and the two rear winches had new jaw assemblies in 2023.

Engine & Saildrive

The boat has a Volvo Penta D130 engine. The engine has been regularly serviced and well looked after. In May 2023 the engine also had a more comprehensive service, with the cooling system stripped, cleaned and new o-rings and gaskets fitted, the exhaust system stripped and decarbonised, and a new air filter fitted.

The boat has a saildrive system with a 130S saildrive, which has had regular oil changes.

Navigation

The boat has a Raymarine Axiom 9 chart plotter fitted at the chart table. This touchscreen chart plotter was installed in 2022, and contains Navionics charts, and features such as an in-built GPS and a detailed anchor alarm. The chart plotter can be mirrored to a tablet or phone using the Raymarine App, meaning it can also be used in the cockpit. The chart plotter is also connected to a Digital Yacht engine link, meaning the chart plotter displays engine information such as engine revs and engine temperature.

The boat also had a Raymarine 650 AIS system installed in 2022, and has a Raymarine autopilot. The boat is also fitted with a Garmin VHF Radio.

Electronics

The boat is fitted with a solar arch, with 2 x 100W solar panels. The solar panels are connected to a Victron MPPT solar charge controller and a Victron 712 battery monitor – both new in 2023. The charge controller maximises the amount of energy stored in the batteries from the solar panels, while the battery monitor displays detailed information about how much power the batteries have left, including how long they will last at the current power usage.

The boat has 12V power outlets in both the cockpit and the saloon, and a 300W inverter to power 230V items from the batteries. It also has 230V power outlets throughout the boat for use when the boat is connected to shore power. A shore power cable (new in 2022) is included with the boat.

Interior

The boat has three double cabins, two heads, a saloon and a galley.

The saloon contains a large seating area and dining table. To the port side of the boat, there is a large seating area around a table, which can comfortably seat six people. This table can fold away to create an additional double berth, and also has an in-built drinks cabinet. On the starboard side of the boat, there is another seating area, as well as the chart table and the electronic control panels.

The galley is fitted with a double sink and a gimbal oven and hob. The oven and hob are powered by gas, and the boat comes with two gas bottles, ensuring you can always have spare gas on hand. Both gas bottles are stored in the cockpit in ventilated lockers. The kitchen comes well stocked with a full set of melamine plates and bowls (both large and small), glasses and mugs, cutlery, pans, whistling kettle, colanders, chopping boards, mixing bowls, and kitchen scales.

The main bathroom opens off the saloon. This bathroom is fitted with an electric head, storage cupboards, and towel rails. This bathroom is a wet room which can be used as a shower.

The front cabin has a double V-shaped berth, a fitted cupboard with a wardrobe and shelves, and extra shelves lining the room. There is a large amount of storage under the bed. This cabin also has an ensuite fitted with a head, sink, and cupboards. This ensuite is also a wet room which can be used as a shower.

The two rear cabins are both doubles, and have fitted wardrobes and shelves. Both of these cabins are large enough to feature a small seat, and have extra storage both under these seats, and under the bed itself.

As the boat has been used as a liveaboard, the interior also comes with a 12V vacuum cleaner provided (meaning the boat can be vacuumed using the batteries, and without the need to be connected to shore power), an electric heater, and an electric kettle.

The interior of the boat also has a carbon monoxide alarm, 2 x smoke alarms, and 4 x marine fire extinguishers.

Anchoring & Lines

The boat comes with a 20kg Rocna anchor and over 70metres of anchor chain, fully colour marked to show the distance. This anchor is connected to a Lofrans Windlass, and also comes with an anchor bridle complete with anchor hook and dyneema chafe protection.

In addition to the main anchor, the boat also comes with two additional anchors – a Delta anchor and a Danforth anchor. These can be used as spare anchors in an emergency, or as a stern anchor.

The boat comes with two main stern lines fitted with shock absorbers, as well as three additional lines. The boat also comes with two 50metre floating lines, for use when anchoring with shorelines.

Tender

The boat comes with a Kapa Tender and a Parsun outboard engine. The outboard engine was new in 2022, and has only been lightly used. It is a 5 horsepower engine, with forward, neutral and reverse gears. The tender comes complete with oars, a detachable seat, and can be deflated for convenient winter storage.

Safety Equipment

The boat comes with a liferaft, serviced in 2022. The boat also comes with several spare lifejackets, harnesses and tethers, as well as a first aid kit, flares, boltcutters, and other items of safety equipment.

Cockpit

The composite steering wheel was new in 2023. In front of the wheel are Raymarine ST60 instruments showing information such as wind speed and direction, water depth and boat speed. The autopilot controls are also located here. Above the instruments is a stainless steel arch which can be used to affix a tablet mirrored to the chart plotter.

The cockpit is fitted with teak, all in good condition and with none of the rubber edges damaged or missing. The boat comes with custom-made cockpit cushions in grey, as well as a grey sprayhood and bimini.

The boat also comes with a passarelle affixed to the swimming platform, which raises and lowers on a pulley system, and which can be folded away if necessary. This passarelle is very stable and provides very easy access on and off the boat when moored stern-to.

The boat is currently located in Preveza, Greece - which is a great starting point to cruise the Ionian and also has an airport nearby.
