Epsilon 5 is an immaculate example of the Rob Humphries design Elan E5 cruiser / racer. Built in 2017 and first launched for the 2018 season. She remains in her first ownership and represents a rare opportunity to purchase what is an immaculate example of this performance cruising yacht, at a fraction of its new price today.
No expenses has been spared on either the initial specification, carefully chosen additions or the continuous professional maintenance. The fastidious owner has optimised her for short-handed fast cruising. She has never been raced but could be easily configured to do so given her sails and equipment inventory, should a new owner wish to do so.
Deep fin keel, hard chines, twin rudders and twin wheels make this an instantly recognisable boat, further enhanced by her recent metallic grey wrap. She comes equipped with an impressive array of performance-enhancing equipment, including a bespoke retractable carbon bowsprit, a genoa furling system, a keel stepped mast, an adjustable backstay, as well as two full suits of sails and a full set of B&G electronics.
The Elan E5 is first and foremost a sailor’s yacht, that is equally at home being used for comfortable shorthanded cruising, as it has been by the current owner and his young family over their happy ownership.
