A time to be proud…
As you can probably tell, we’re feeling rather patriotic here in the office as, in a little over two weeks, the UK and Commonwealth will be celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Just down the road from TYM Headquarters will be one of the biggest celebrations outside of London, with all three ships of the Cunard fleet sailing up the Solent in formation. The combined sight of Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria together with a seven-aircraft Red Arrows squadron will create both an outstanding spectator experience and a fitting commemoration of Her Majesty’s 60 year reign. We cannot wait!
In other TYM news, we’d like to thank those of you who visited us at the recent Sandbanks Boat Show. We were very fortunate to have such glorious weather at the show (Ed even got sunburn) and it was a wonderful opportunity to catch up with our customers – both old and new. If you stopped by our stand over the weekend, then you will have seen that we were running another competition. Well, the winner has been drawn and we’d like to congratulate Mr. Robin Slater who is now the proud owner of £50 worth of plotting equipment! Remember to ‘like’ us on Facebook to keep informed of all future competitions and events.
And finally, due to popular demand we are proud to announce that our new Export Contacts / Enquiries functionality is now available for all members of TheYachtMarket. Whether an old or new customer, everyone has access to this new feature which allows you to create a CSV file containing a list of your enquiry contacts for use in other programs or in marketing campaigns. For further information please click here.
If you have any ideas about how we can make TheYachtMarket work better for you, let us know!
Did you know...
It’s a familiar sight – a stationary rib displaying a dive flag (either a red rectangle with a white diagonal stripe or a blue-and-white double-tailed pennant, the A or Alpha flag). Hopefully you will recognise these, know that there is a diver in the vicinity and keep your distance. But what if one of the divers is in difficulty and needs help? Maybe the rib’s engine has failed and won’t start. They cannot get the diver to shore quickly for the necessary emergency aid he needs. How could you help?

Destroy Algae and Prevent Weed and Barnacle Growth!
Effective, environmentally friendly Ultrasonic Antifouling for all boat sizes.
The advanced Ultra Series II by Ultrasonic Antifouling Ltd destroys algae preventing weed and barnacle growth to the hull. Careful positioning of transducers will discourage growth on propellers and stern gear, maintaining your boat's performance and reducing fuel costs - a significant factor for motorboats. It is environmentally friendly, harmless to fish and other animals, and saves time and money reducing lift outs and the amount of annual hull preparation work required.
There is an Ultra Series II suitable for all sailboats and powerboats of any size and configuration. The new Ultra Series II has been design engineered to be exceptionally easy to fit with low power consumption, it can even be powered by Solar using Ultrasonic Antifouling's solar charge controller.

And finally, some kind words from Sandbanks Boat Show 2012
The 2012 Sandbanks Boat Show closed on a high (Sunday 13th May). The three day show opened on Friday 11th and closed on Sunday 13th May, enjoying sunshine everyday in the stunning location of Salterns Marina. A superb selection of over 80 new boats were on the water, allowing visitors a great opportunity to check out the very latest from sports cruisers, luxury motor boats, sail yachts, personal watercraft and leading marine products. This boutique style show, held for the 2nd year in succession, provided the boating enthusiast a diverse selection of quality boating brands and products to choose from and was a great alternative to the larger style shows.
This ‘free of charge’ event attracted top brands including:-
Sunseeker, Princess, Fairline, Targa, Boston Whaler, Jeanneau, Nimbus, Cranchi, Greenline Hybrid, Beneteau, Goldfish Boat, Hardy, Windy, Karnic and Searay, amongst other products including Seadoo Watercraft, Marine Electronics, Insurance plus great hospitality, RNLI and more!
Special thanks goes to TheYachtMarket who have helped support the show including developing the Sandbanks Boat Show website and giving the event an extra push. All this contributed in making it a great success.
