Boatcare Trading Ltd has established its credentials as one of the top yachting companies on the Maltese islands over its years of operation. It has achieved this through close attention to the needs of its clients, ensuring a quality service delivered within agreed timeframes.

The company was established under the name Yachtcare in the early 1990s. What stared as a relatively small operation providing services to yachts berthed in the newly opened Portomaso Marina quickly grew under the leadership of its founders, boating and yachting enthusiasts themselves. The range of services grew to the comprehensive selection it is today, and the company fast began to acquire customers beyond Portomaso Marina.

In 2006, recognizing the development the company had undergone, it undertook a rebranding exercise and changed its name to Boatcare Trading Ltd. By early 2008, Boatcare recognized the need for a presence at the Ta’ Xbiex marina as well, opening a second outlet just meters away from the pontoons.

Boatcare now offers the full range of services the yachting community demands, from boat maintenance and guardiennage, all the way to repairs on the water or on the hard, overhauls and refits, yacht agency services, and yacht deliveries. Boatcare is the Malta agent for Douglas Marine’s mooring springs, and for the Blue Navy / Italia Marine range of high quality boat cleaning products.

The company caters for people at every stage of the yachting life, not just for existing owners. Boatcare offers a yacht brokerage service to people buying or selling pre-owned (second hand) yachts, and is the Malta agent for four respected boatbuilders: the Slovenian Elan Power and British Hunton Powerboats, Salona sailing yachts, also built in Slovenia and developing an enviable reputation as quality yachts at reasonable prices, and the American Hunter sailing yacht range. And to complement the brokerage and new boat sales service, Boatcare also provides an efficient yacht charter service.

Taking an innovative approach to boat ownership, Boatcare became the first and still the only organization in Malta to offer boat sharing, syndicate ownership or fractional ownership services in Malta and, through its growing network, throughout the world as well.

All Boatcare’s services are offered to clients in any of the marinas in Malta, through its two bases, one at Portomaso Marina and the second at the Ta’ Xbiex marina. Whatever the need, Boatcare is there, right at the hub of the Maltese yachting industry and never more than a stone’s throw from your boat!
