Accommodations

A light and airy interior welcomes you aboard this very comfortable yacht. "Desert Fox 2" has a well thought out interior design with two private staterooms. Beginning forward is a nice stateroom with V-berth, hanging locker and drawer storage. Aft to starboard is a straight bench settee followed by the aft facing chart table. To port is a large C-shaped dinette table which lowers to become an additional berth. Storage is below and outboard of the salon seating. Next aft is the spacious L-shaped gourmet galley with double sinks and plenty of counter space. Opposite the galley is the aft facing nav station and a large hanging locker. Continuing aft is the very large head with shower which also includes a wet locker. Aft to port is the entrance to the roomy aft stateroom with a large hanging locker. The interior is varnished teak with teak & holly cabin sole. Natural light and ventilation are abundant with 4 opening deck hatches, 4 opening ports, and 8 fixed portlights. "Bristol" boat shades have been added in the galley and main salon. The surprisingly large cockpit can easily seat 8 and will be the most popular boat in the anchorage for happy hour.

On Deck & Hull

Single piece GRP hull with externally attached lead keel and spade rudder. The deck is also GRP construction with balsa coring. In areas of deck fittings and hardware, the deck is a solid laminate with brass or aluminum backing plates, drilled and tapped or thru-bolted. The hull has an outward turning flange at the gunwhale for the hull to deck bond, which is sealed with 3M 5200 marine sealant, thru-bolted and screwed, then covered with a heavy duty vinyl rubrail with S/S striker.
