TRADER 64 SUNLINER EXTERIOR

Hull

All new semi-displacement hull for the Trader 64 Sunliner, designed by leading naval architect Tony Castro. Designed for excellent sea keeping and stability as well as retaining the trademark Trader style and soft ride.
Tank tested for performances in excess of 25knots. Deep skeg keel for improved tracking and propeller protection. Propeller tunnels for shallow angle shaft line and reduced draft. Cored topsides, solid bottom hull with structure engineered by HIGH MODULUS Boot top stripe in AWLGRIP paint. Antifouling. Epoxy treatment. Transom viewing ports, including opening escape hatch. Opening port lights to cabins & and heads with s/s deadlights (CE certified). Stainless steel and rubber rub rail around bathing platform Stainless steel and rubber rub rail around bulwark Sea cocks on all waterline inlets & outlets. Cathode crotection on all stern gear.

Superstructure

All new fully moulded Trader 64 Sunliner superstructure designed by Tony Castro. Designed to update the Trader style, while maintaining the traditional qualities. Low profile styling by dropping saloon over engine compartment Windows and windscreens in thick tempered glass, bonded to GRP. Hepworth s/s wipers with washers & continuously variable controls S/s handrails above saloon windows & around forward sun lounger Watertight door to pilothouse (st’bd). Hatch to VIP cabin (escape size). Sliding s/s aft door to saloon, with two way locking mechanism. Concealed seat with cushion in forward coach roof. Fender lockers in forward coach roof. Recessed sun lounger in coach roof.

Main Deck

Flush walk around main deck from aft deck to foredeck. Recessed foredeck well for safer deck work. Teak decking. Overhead lighting. Deck lighting in bulwark. Side deck spring cleats in bulwark. Fuel fillers concealed in side decks with spill collectors. Covered side decks alongside saloon for weather shelter. Raised platform for foredeck bollards, fairleads and capstan. Hatches in foredeck well to access anchor lockers. Perimeter s/s handrails @ 1m height with guard wire. Side deck gates by pilothouse door for boarding (port & st’bd).

Aft Deck & Bathing Platform

Seating extends over side decks for enlarged floor area. Moulded steps up from aft deck and up to boat deck. Radar arch in GRP with supports for navigation and communications equipment. Water from the flybridge is piped and discharged on both sides of hull at waterline. Windscreen in plexiglass with stainless steel supports. Helm console with engine and navigation instrumentation. Teak decking. Deck lighting. Flagpole and fixings. S/s handrails. Casual seating & GRP table. Twin adjustable STIDD helm seats. Cupboard unit aft. Moulded stairs to aft deck with door.

Exterior Canvas

All cushions constructed in with closed cell foam, mesh backing & double stitching. Water resistant covers for flybridge helm, seats and table. Aft deck canvas enclosure. Bimini top.

Anchoring, Mooring & Tender Equipment

Designed for easy owner/operator use, incorporating oversized manoeuvring equipment & aft deck helm. Additional side deck cleats in topsides for easy access from dock. Aft deck cleats raised above deck for easier access. Foredeck cleats also lifted above deck for easier access & deck lowered. Stowage for fenders on aft deck and in forward coach roof for ease of use. Twin foredeck hatches to access anchor lockers & windlasses. Main anchor 42kg s/s plough type with 80m 12mm chain.

Aux anchor 21kg s/s danforth type with 20m 10mm chain & 60m 14mm rope. Twin LEWMAR anchor windlasses concealed under foredeck (foot & remote operated by AUTO ANCHOR (500c) 550RC at both helms). Wheel type s/s chain stoppers for both anchor chains. Salt/fresh water deck wash, fore & aft outlets). Bollards on foredeck & aft decks. Two pairs cleats in side deck bulwarks.

Transom mooring bollards. Pop-up cleats for dingy. Additional spring cleats in bulwarks (4). Foredeck LEWMAR capstan (foot operated). Twin LEWMAR aft deck capstans (foot operated). Hydraulic custom pasarelle, stowed across transom (250kg lift). STEELHEAD MARINE 455kg lift fully powered (slew, loft, winch) s/s dinghy davit. AVON Se 320 DL, 20hp outboard & cover. 2 x boat hook. 8 x fenders, with stowage forward & aft. 4 x mooring lines.

TRADER 64 SUNLINER ENGINEERING

Engine Room

As with propulsion systems, the Trader 64 Sunliner engine room is designed and constructed to be as quiet as possible. Sound & vibration containment designed by the internationally renowned CAPPELLEN consultancy. All machinery is located in the engine room to reduce noise & vibration in accommodation areas. 6’/1.8m headroom along centreline walkway. Aluminium tread plate floor with walk/around engine access. Watertight door. CCTV monitoring. DELTA-T vents with moisture eliminators & automatic fire dampers. Oil transfer system for engines and generators. Removable hatches in overhead, on gaskets. All pumps and motorised machinery fixed on isolation mounts. Fresh water outlet with hose. AC & DC overhead lightening. Water resistant lead light. Bilge lighting. Work bench & tool kit.

Main Engines and Propulsion

CAT C18 @ 1,000hp. Underwater exhausts with dual chamber silencers. Driving through POSEIDON drives with thrust plates for smooth running. Engines on CUSHYFLOAT soft mounts to reduce vibration carried through structure. S/s prop shafts & s/s P-bracket. PEGASUS stern gland with fail-safe seal. GLENDINNING EEC 2001 electronic engine controls at three positions, with back up. POSEIDON 5 blade cunial class 1 propellers.

Steering System

SEA STAR hydraulic power steering. Emergency tiller. Poseidon wing rudders. Trim tabs.

Hydraulics System

Twin variable displacement gearbox PTOs. WESMAR 0.8M2 stabilizers with digital gyro control.
WESMAR 25hp hydraulic bow thruster. WESMAR 25hp hydraulic stern thruster.

Fuel System

7,000litre capacity. Engine room tanks across fwd engine room bulkhead for trim and walk around space. 6,000 litre in aluminium engine room tanks. 1,000 litre aluminium auxiliary long range tank. Fuel transfer pump, with manual back up. Manifold for fuel management. Duplex filters on each engine and generator supply.

Domestic Water System.

1,200 litre capacity fresh water tank. GROCHE faucets throughout yacht. HEADHUNTER MACH 5 AC fresh water pump & accumulator tank. HEADHUNTER X-CALIBER DC back up fresh water pump. 40-litre drinking water tank with direct inputs from deck & watermaker. Connected to single faucet in galley & ice maker, with filters. Twin 20 gal US/75 litre Calorifiers, can be used in series or independently. SEA RECOVERY 3,000 litre per day watermaker. Bathing platform shower with hot/cold outlet. Pressurised water inlet and tank fill in transom locker.

Bilge, Toilet and Waste Systems

RULE3700 (220 lpm) auto bilge pumps in transom, aft & fwd compartments. RULE3700 (220 lpm) auto bilge pump in engine room. Bilge pumps in sumps in each moulded bilge compartment. Air-conditioning

MARINE AIR chilled water system for chilling & heating throughout accommodation. System chosen for efficiency and quietness 72,000 BTU twin compressor chiller.Twin Variable Frequency. Drive Inverters to reduce surge on start up. Each compartment has independent environmental control.
