GeneralThe safety at sea was top priority when building this yacht; this yacht has been built to the highest standards. The design of David Pedrick guarantees fast, safe cruising, hull & deck scantlings to Lloyds requirements and moulded under Lloyds supervision. The Nicholson 476 is an iconic yacht that is of the first quality and which turns heads always
ConstructionBelow the waterline the hull is made of a single skin; a grid system of longitudinal and athwartship framing is employed to transmit rigging, keel and hydrodynamic loads. The topsides are balsa-cored laminate with Kevlar reinforcement in the outer laminate for impact and abrasion resistance. The cored topsides provide panel stiffness and thermal insulation. All bulkheads are completely glued to the hull and the superstructure, together with the laminated floor support and the heavy stringers, create a very stiff and torsion free yacht. The ballast is cast in lead and fully encapsulated and over laminated. The rudder is moulded in G.R.P., has a skeg and a solid 56-mm stainless steel rudderstock. All the windows in the superstructure were replaced 2006. Stainless steel dorade units 2007.

CommentsJEMIMA PRINCESS has been little used through life. Her first owners kept her in Northern Europe and used for local sailing. In this ownership she has been substantially improved and updated and is professionally maintained. Unfortunately her owner lacks the time to use her which is why reluctantly she is offered for sale. Her interior layout and push-button rig makes her a great solution for blue water cruising.
