Construction

Hull Deck and superstructure built to CE Certification Directive 94/25/CE RCD Cat A (Ocean)
Underwater construction using a Mat Sanding, 3 Coats of Epoxy, with antifoul finish, all flush mounted skin fittings.
Inner strengthening is gained by the X yachts integrated steel frame which supports the keel, and strengthens the shroud deck attachment points. The hull deck joint is invisible and smooth, whilst the deck and coach roof are finished with a non slip pattern moulded into the Gelcoat.
The under water profile is that of a round bilge with deep fin lead keel with bulb, and an elliptic balance hung rudder,
Steering is via a Large wheel with short 150cm cable to save weight.



Engine

The engine is located under the companion way steps and is sound insulated with fire proof foam Panels.
Auxiliary power if provided by a Yanmar 3YM20 3 cylinder inboard diesel engine rated @ 20hp driving a Yanmar Saildrive leg with 2 bladed folding propeller. This engine is electric start and freshwater cooled via a heat exchanger,
Aluminium fuel tank with deck filler fuel gauge, and an additional fuel/water separator filter.

Electrics

Electrical power is provided by 2 x 12volt batteries comprising of 1 x dedicated engine battery and 1 x Domestic battery. Both batteries are charged from the engine alternator. In addition this craft is fitted with a 240volt shore power connection with a 3 pin socket, battery charger, and hot water element in the calorifier.

Mast Spars and Rigging

Silver anodized aluminium twin spreader mast and boom with stainless steel rod standing rigging, with X Yachts “MAGIC WHEEL” adjustable backstay system with a ratio of 1.45 :1 as fitted to the IMX40
All Running Rigging is led back to cockpit. The main is fitted with single line reefing and 1 Reef.
All running rigging is lead back to the cockpit area and runs both above and through the deck via designated channels with Cunningham, Outhaul, Pole Down Haul & Vang led back both sides to Coachroof. A carbon Spinnaker Pole is also included.
All necessary deck fittings required to successfully race this craft are fitted and all Guy and Sheets are also included.

Accommodation

Comfortable accommodation for 8 comprising of 1 Forward Double with wardrobe and door, spacious saloon with
Port and starboard single settee/berths and two open double quarter berths. To Port is a galley with two burner gas cooker with oven , sink with hot and cold pressurized water system, to starboard opposite is a linear chart /nav station with chart stowage, and cool box. Between the forward cabin and saloon to Starboard is a walk in heads compartment with sea toilet and basin with H/C pressurized water system.
Upholstery cushions are made from high quality foam with Aron Blue 510 covers.
Joinery is in polished mahogany, whilst the heads compartment is made from a white Gelcoat GRP moulding.
