Designed by C S J Roy and built by Macwester Marine, the MacWester 27 is a popular and very tough bilge keel cruiser with a lot of space for a boat of its size. Four berths in two cabins. A popular and strongly constructed cruiser. Extended bilge keels enhance windward performance, and her heavy displacement provides solid, true sea-going performance. The interior is spacious and well planned, making excellent use of space.

ENGINE: New Yanmar GM20 Fitted in 2001 only 3 hours of running time.

ACCOMMODATION: The Fore Cabin has 2 single berths with infill to use as a double, shelved lockers, hatch to fore deck, stowage under and hatch to chain locker. The Saloon has 2 berths with shelves over, stowage under and a table with folding leaf.

DOMESTIC EQUIPMENT: Sink and drainer, foot water pump, 2 drawers under sink.

SPARS, RIGGING & SAILS: New standing rigging fitted 2001/2. Furling Headsail. Reefed main.

DECK EQUIPMENT: Echo Sounder, Autohelm. 2 Anchors. Warps. Compass. Boat hook and Fenders. Windlass. Sea Toilet.
ELECTRONICS:, two batteries 12 volt (new 2007) for engine and domestic. Do require attention
SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Life Raft (does require servicing)

CURRENT LOCATION: Wm Partington Marine – Hardstanding.

Bilge keel GRP 1974 Bermudan Rigged Yacht. Excellent safe seagoing vessel.

I have owned yacht for nearly 20 years. Last survey 2005 no issues highlighted. Hull epoxied by myself at time of purchase. New Yanmar 20 twin cylinder diesel engine fitted 2001, only run for 3 hours. New standing and running rigging fitted 2001.

Inventory includes mainsail , genoa, spare jib, roller reefing on main and foresail, windlass, depth sounder, compass, autohelm, life raft (needs service), dodgers,warps,anchor, sea toilet, flag and pole. There is no cooker fitted. there are 5 berths, fitted dinette and chart table.

Vessel has had little use over past 5 years. Electrics require attention and yacht requires a good clean and some TLC. This is reflected in the asking price. These yachts usually sell for between £8000 to £12000 depending on year and condition. An excellent value purchase for anyone prepared to invest some time and a little money into bringing the yacht back to its former glory. I have sailed this yacht with my family aboad, in some fairly desperate conditions over the years and have never felt any concerns regarding the vessels sea keeping abilities
