Unique opportunity to purchase an ocean going steel ketch. This vessel has been built to the original Bruce Roberts-Goodson design which was based on Joshua Slocums boat.
Construction
Deck, hull and superstructure built of 5mm steel. Hull built locally by Gallaghers of South shields in 1992 and has been fitted out by owner to original plans.
Interior large and attractively finished in wood without soft furnishings which enables prospective purchasers the luxury of choosing what is suitable to them.
Long keeled which is filled with lead ingots which have been epoxied in place. Access is able to all areas and preventative maintenance made easy by access panels.
Plentiful storage makes this boat ideal for long range ocean cruising or as a live aboard.
Engine
Vessel is powered by a reconditioned Ford D 80hp diesel engine. All round access allows easy maintenance. New oversized sea cocks and strainers. New stern gear and gearbox. Hydraulic steering from wheel situated in centre cockpit.

The vessel is ketch rigged with main and mizzen masts by Z-Spars. All standing rigging stainless steel (new 2003) and running rigging Terylene braid on braid.
All blocks are by Lewmar and have not been positioned allowing prospective buyer choice. All sails are by Dolphin and are brand new 2003.

Accomodation
Accomodations are entered via the cockpit. Owners aft cabin has its own entrance and is outfitted with hanging lockers, seating area, ensuite bathroom with sea toilet and shower.
Main cabin houses galley to port which includes Plastimo gas oven with 2 burner hob and grill, s/steel sink and electrolux refridgerator. To port and starboard are seating/dining areas which can be converted to berths.
Forward cabin which like others is attractively finished in wood.
