Mechanical Systems
Located abaft the companionway, Volvo Penta MD7 twin cylinder 13hp diesel engine. Good access to major service points and saildrive unit. Saildrive to fixed two blade propeller. Electric start. Sea water cooled. Single lever engine controls. Approx 5 knots cruising and 6 knots maximum speed under power. 10 gallons fuel capacity in steel tank. Saildrive diaphragm replaced in 1999. Full engine survey by French Marine Motors in 2002. The engine has been fully serviced and winterised every year.

Alternator charging to 2 x 12 volt batteries.
Sails & Spars
Masthead rigged sloop. Anodised aluminium mast and boom by Holt Allen. Mast lowering system. Stainless steel standing rigging, new in 2000. Terylene running rigging. Spinnaker pole. Two Lewmar 40 sheet winches. Two Gibb secondary winches. Halyard winch. Slab reefing to mainsail. Plastimo 809 headsail furling system.

Construction
Built by Rydgeway Marine, Essex in 1977 to a design by EG van de Stadt. Red GRP hull with rubbing strakes and white hull stripe. White GRP coachroof with moulded non skid decks. Aft self draining cockpit. Teak slats to cockpit sole. Cast iron fin keel. Tiller steering to skeg hung spade rudder. The hull was epoxied below the waterline in 2000. Self draining anchor locker. Self draining stowage for two gas bottles in cockpit.
