The RayMarine Fishfinder is fairly remarkable if you haven't seen one before - it provides depth, speed, log, elapsed time, depth alarms [shallow and deep], battery voltage, plus a variable time length "A" scan which shows bottom history and any fish passing underneath.

The Navman Chartplotter is connected to the DSC/VHF so that, if you put out a distress call, the GPS position is automatically transmitted with it. It has a big aerial which should give max [to horizon] range. Aerial height about 5m.
