CORBY 25 The Corby 25 may be John Corby's smallest IRC design, but its success has been phenomenal. The responsive, easily driven hull with its narrow, slick waterline reduces the wetted surface to give the ultimate light airs performance and yet the deep fin keel plus heavy bulb (approx.1200KG) provides all the stability required in heavy airs when beating or running, combine this with the efficient High aspect rig, modest working sail area and large masthead spinnaker = fantastic all-round performance with the boat-speed and upwind angles many larger Cruiser / Racers can only envy.
The perfectly balanced hull form & rig configuration rewards the helmsman every-time. With some intelligent sail trimming & precision steering this little boat becomes a 'Giant Slayer'.
