MACWESTER WIGHT 32 MK.II
The Macwester Wight Series II Ketch is a classic built Motorsailer with twin keels and a Centreline skeg hung rudder. Built by Macwester Marine, who were founded by the Naval Architect CSJ Roy in the Sixties and based in Littlehampton, she is a very solidly built boat.
ENGINE: BMC Captains 32hp Diesel Inboard Engine with 2 x 20 Gallon Stainless Steel Fuel Tanks. Cruising Speed: 5knts. Top Speed: 6knts.
ACCOMMODATION: The Main Cabin is extremely roomy, with Dinette arrangement to Starboard. An especially made drop-leaf table seats six for meals.
Over to port is the chart table with a snug berth beneath, then the Galley with good stowage for crockery and cooking utensils, and a Gas Cooker with Two Rings, Oven and Grill on Gimballs. Opposite this is the heads compartment containing a Sea Toilet and wash basin.
The forecabin is another place of comfort, roomy with good headroom and wide bunks, shelves and hanging lockers. There is an infill to convert the whole cabin into one vast bed, the same in the aft cabin.
The aft cabin is a delight with its two generous bunks and cupboards and hanging lockers. The only drawback here by today's standards is that it does not have walk-through access from the main cabin, but then, the plus is that it is absolutely private.
SERVICES: A manual Water pump supplies Water to the Sink in the Galley area and is supplied via a 20 Gallon Stainless Steel Water Tank.
SPARS, RIGGING & SAILS: Ketch Rigged coupled with a large Furling Genoa, new Mainsail with cover, and a new Mizzen with a cover. Recently renewed Stainless Steel Rigging.
ELECTRONICS: Fixed VHF Marine Radio with external Loudspeaker. Handheld VHF Radio. GPS. Radar. Sharps Autohelm. Compass. 2 x 110 Batteries and Charger Unit.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT: New Electric Windlass with new Bruce Anchor. 2 x Automatic Bilge Pumps (Engine and Main Cabin Bilges). 1 x Manual Bilge Pump (Engine). 1 x 6 Man Liferaft. 4 x Deck Harnesses with Jackstays with Deck-Running attachments. 5 x Big Fenders plus additional smaller ones. Boarding Ladder. Boat Hooks. Emergency Dan Buoy. 2 x Lifebuoys. Avon Redcrest Dinghy with Holdall, Paddles, Electric Pump and Engine Mounting Bracket.
