Holman Sterling Cantare is a British Registered, Sterling Class, long keel sloop designed by C.R. Holman and built by Uphams in Brixham in 1962. Construction is Larch below the waterline and splined Mahogany above. Frames are understood to be steamed Oak, Floors also Oak.
Decks are sheathed ply. Her Stainless Steel rigging and bottle screws were all replaced in 2003. She has a long Iron keel and transom hung rudder with tiller steering.
She offers up to 5 berths in two cabins with a Galley and navigation table. She has a separate heads.
She has Taylor's Paraffin two hob + grill stove and Taylor's Paraffin heater, though the current owners have mostly used a portable gas hob.
Mechanical propulsion is by Volvo Penta 18hp twin cylinder diesel engine.
