Owners Comments
An important feature of this particular Neptune is the addition of a cathead. Designed by Alan Buchanan, the aim was to asisst wind vane steering. By increasing the "J" length the cathead enables a larger genoa to be carried, which moves forward the centre of effort and reduces the substantial weather helm found in the original design. It significantly improves sailing performance, both speed and angle of reach and provides a stable and secure platform when mooring.
This is a sea kindly yacht which rides rough seas comfortably. It provides the shelter and comfort of a motor sailer, yet is a true sailing yacht.
